Thread: Render very different from preview!

  1. Default Render very different from preview!

    Hi!
So I've tried to render videos in vegas movie studio platinum 9.0 so that it'll fit the widescreen size of youtube. The size comes out good but the problem is that once the rendering begins, everything in the preview screen will change size as well. Any text will become alot smaller and move further up on the video, and any clips (attached above the video) will become smaller and move as well.

So I guess you could say the actual 'layers' in the project changes place and size once widescreen rendering begins. Is there a way to fix this?

    Thank you!

    Default

Have you set your project properties to the same settings as you are trying to render the project? If the original footage was 4:3 and your project is set to 4:3 then when you render to 16:9 it can cause the type of problems you have described.

  3. Default

I went to properties and changed "field order" to "none (progressive scan)" and pixel aspect ratio to '1,0000 (square)' and it seems to have fixed the problem. Seems like the preview window didnt have the same size as the render template!

thank you for the answer ^^
