    Default Dead chuffed

Never one to be a shrinking violet, I've discovered today that the two films I entered into BIAFF 2010 (British International Amateur Film Festival - BIAFF 2010)
    both picked up three stars.

This puts me firmly in the vaguely competent amateur category.

Thanks to all here at Digital Director for their help, advice and encouragement.

If anyone's interested the films are:

Race for Life (to which I made some changes to as a direct result of comments in this thread http://www.videoforums.co.uk/user-vi...tml#post123365)

    and

A Day Out in Mallorca (ignore the heading in this thread as at the time I only wanted to know if the intro worked - the whole film is in the link on the first post http://www.videoforums.co.uk/user-vi...ts-please.html)

"Mallorca" also won a "Highly Commended" in the Guernsey Lily last year.

Hey very well done Tim. Absolutely deserved acknowledgement for your work. Both containing your trademark excellent narration.

    Thanks guys
I've had the judges comments back now (that's the reason I enter these festivals - to get considered opinions of established filmmakers) and I have to say I'm a little disappointed.

Just about half a sheet of A4 in total for each film. With others I've entered I've received half a side per judge or even a whole sheet per judge.
But quantity isn't everything and it's one of the comments that stands out...

"One of us didn't like the maps".

Fair enough, but purleese give me a clue about what you didn't like about them/what you'd do differently.
