    Default Storyboard Mini Competition

Eager to use my new crane, , I now need a 30 second short to film. My creative side is exhausted after the pain of building it so heres a mini competition for you all.

I need a 30 second script/storyboard that is not too outlandish but will demonstrate the benefits of using a crane. It needs to be detailed and comprehensive.

The prize is a crane at 50% discount for the winner. That means a crane capable of supporting a hand held camcorder for 50.

    Rules.
    1. Winner pays shipping.
    2. Winner must make sure (Mr. Mills take note) that your tripod or stand will support it.
    3. I will NOT supply counterweights.
    4. Winner might have to wait a few weeks until the crane is in full production.
    5. My decision on the winner is final.
    6. Multiple entries allowed.
    7. The script/storyboard must be posted here so everyone gets the benefit and can also shoot it if they already have a crane.
    8. The winners entry is public property.

    Good luck!

Because my house lacks anything grand or designed. Nice thought though.

This is the interweb. Go to a nice house and film that - no-one will ever know (except for the fact that you've already posted loads of pictures of your house and we know what car you drive).

Or a church. Churches are normally pretty buildings to film. Or a castle. Or a bridge, or even a big tree, or perhaps a huge person.

Ah, but I remebered to blur my personalised registration number out, so you don`t know that too, do you, eh?

Also, I am fairly large, so do I do an interesting film of myself? That might be somewhat egotistical and repugnent at the same time.

    Depends what you're doing.

On a seperate note, and as demonstrated by my recent video, I need a camera stabiliser... fancy making me one?

They surely cant be that difficult. Maybe a tube, with another tube inside, on a spring and weighted.

    Easy.

DIY and me don't mix. I'm worse at DIY than I am at webmastering

Millsy jury rigged (that so isn't how to spell it, is it?) his own steadicam type device from a monopod...

Its `Jerry`, or `Gerry`but he has the right idea. A monopod is a good place to start.

Why not ask hime to `Geary Rigg` one for you too?
