Thread: Export/Import to/from ProTools

  1. Default Export/Import to/from ProTools

We have finally nailed that pesky PT5 session format!

Once version 2.5 is tested and released this will enable Vegas users to take their sessions (XML or TXT) and convert them to a PT5 session format which can be read by any ProTools version 5 or later.

They can also take a PT omf or ProTools session and convert it to a Vegas XML or TXT file.

  3. Default

Version 3.1 was released a few days ago with dramatically decreased conversion times, more formats and a host of improvements.

Probably a little premature but .....

It looks like we will have an OMF (or maybe it should be OMG) export function available for us to plug in (we already have the spot ready and greased up) probably within 24 to 48 hours. Which means that after a short but intense testing period we should have this much awaited functionality ready for release very, very soon.

    Keep you posted.

  4. Thumbs up

Just a quick update regarding PT

We have now worked out how to 'read' all PT session files including versions 5.1 to 8.04 and we are currently writing conversion code to all the formats we currently support including Vegas xmls.

    So stay tuned
