Thread: Video capture

  1. Default Video capture

When you actually capture video to your hard drive what type of file is it saved as?
Is it avi or wmv or both?
And is sound saved as a separate file as well?

    thanks

When I capture from my miniDV camera I capture to an AVI file. It is large. Averages abotu 1Gb for every five minutes of footage. I get one avi file and both video and sound are in it.

I typically capture using Premiere Pro and Matrox tools.
