Default Mini Rant - horizontal scrolling of threads

[mini rant]Only noticed this this morning. My monitor at work is set to 1024x768 (and can't go bigger) and occassionally this morning I find that the odd thread or two does not fit across the screen witout scrolling. Now I know this happens when we have large(ish) graphics attached or inserted into threads but on these occasions we don't. But it's damned annoying to have to scroll just for text.

The only correlation I can find is that 'Jooster' has posted in all those I have an issue with and he has a graphic in his signature.

Does anyone else have this isse or is it just me and a coincidence? Alternatively, could Jooster remove or shrink his graphic as a test to see if the problem goes away. Much appreciated cos I'm gonna stop reading (and so won't be able to answer) any threads that require a scroll to read when no attachments are listed.

Basically, I'm more than happy to help people when I can but I'm not going to fight to do it.

Oh, here's an example of a thread that scrolls for me. http://www.videoforums.co.uk/ftopic3053.html

It's a combination of things, one of which being the long fprum names. look at the bottom of the page and you''ll see a drop down jump box. This can't wrap.

On further testing I can reveal that my window was in fact about 5 pixels short of being full screen width. If I maximise (which I don't like doing cos I like to be able to 'get at' other windows I have around) then I am ok. Other threads aren't like this though so I'd still like to see the same thread without the signature graphic if possible, just as a test.

Is that the compression, or does the grey in the jpeg really look that different to the bg on your monitor?
