Pinnacle Studio 9 won't open avi files on an external drive
I keep my avi files, which were captured using MovieMaker2, on an external HDD, so that my C: Drive won't get choked.
I now have Pinnacle Studio 9 SE and would like to edit and then burn to DVD, on the PC, which could be played on a stand-alone DVD Player.
When I try to open the avi files, I get an error message stating 'the avi files cannot be opened' and that's it.
I can however open them using Windows Media Player 9.
I saved them as avi files and not wmv files as I wanted to be able to edit and burn DVDs on the PC.
