Default Aspect Ratio Changing in Timeline

Hello all and thanks so much for any and all advice. This is a great forum and I appreciate all the help!

This is probably a very basic question but here goes:

In Premiere Pro when I drag a clip to the timeline it is being reduced in size. This reduced size is maintained when I encode/export the video.

The result is the video does not fill the monitor/television/player.

The source file has the correct aspect ratio and if I play the source file it fills all screens. It also has the correct aspect ratio in the "source" window of adobe premiere.

As soon as I put the clip in the timeline it is creating a black margin around the clip.

Please refer to the photo below and thanks thanks thanks!

Oops, looks like I've figured it out. I must have filmed in Standard size and then opened the project in Widescreen.

I've opened a new project in Widescreen and copy and pasted the edit into the new project.

    Sorry for the lame question...
