Thread: imovie effects!

    Default imovie effects!

    2 things...

I am going to record my team play football in a couple of days, and i want to edit it to make it look like a real football game on TV.

1 - Is it possible to have a timer at the top of the screen so we know how long the game has been on for, and also can i have an image permanently placed at the other corner, for example, the ESPN logo or SKY SPORTS 1.

2 - Can i somehow get a stadium in the background? That one sounds a bit more tricky, but is it possible?

    Cheers!

All are possible. Unfortunately not everything can be done just with imovie.

All involve chromakey. So, you'll have to find a graphics program which can make a clock/timer as you want it. A program to make your logo and then you'll have to find some shots of a stadium which fits with your footage. All are then chromakeyed onto your footage.

Any graphics program, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Illustrator etc. etc. will do the graphics.

With Final Cut Pro and Motion you may generate a countdown through a time code generator, also or with the "time date" generator.

    The generator is explained here:
Countdown Timer for Final Cut Pro - Final Cut Studio, Avid, Adobe, and Video Streaming

Nattress also offers one plug-in. Check here.
    Nattress: G Countdown

    Hope this help.
