Create a ten second presentation on what method of capture you should use (FIREWIRE). Doesn't have to be film. I'm sure you can all do a lot better than this:

Give a few days. I'll have a go. Just need a bit of time ...
COMPAQ something or other with 500Gb Boot Disk, 1Tb external Firewire Disk, 4Gb Memory and a super duper sound card, 19" TFT Monitor etc etc etc
    Sony TRV33e : Sony TRV310e : Canon XM2
Sony Vegas Studio editions to v11

Remember, there is always more to learn than there is to teach.

the end shot on the firewire port needs to be longer.

Nice and snappy though, i'll see if i can fuddle a suitable soundtrack.

I agree, but wanted to get it down to 10 secs and I'd already cut so much other stuff out...

But then it looks all odd. I'll show you the original with filters, fades and the like.

Any luck finding music? I couldn't think of anything suitable before, and as we all know adding music after is a nightmare...

Actually, the very first one didn't need music at all as I tried to make a rythm out of all the sounds from whacking the laptop on the desk etc...

Was bored. Added some music and a tittle. Nothing special...
