    Default Delete text presets

I want to delete some presets because each time I put text media on a video, I have to click the one I always use from the drag down box.

When I try to delete them, they say that are part of the plugin and can't be removed.. How do I delete them, or at least resort the list.

I understand your frustration. However, Vegas has a trick for you: Why not directly DRAG your OWN Preset to the Timeline? DONE! I can pick my OWN form the Generated Media Tab and drag it up. And here's the other tip: Hold down the Shift key while dragging and you don't get the Menu openning up either.

You can visually see your Preset in the:-

    Media Generators > Text "Presets"

    Just drag it up.

Hm.. I never once considered dragging them from that tab into the timeline.. Even though I knew about it for a long time. I guess that removes the problem through an oh-so clear fix that I didn't think of
    Thanks

    Oh yeah, me too!

If you are using VP9 there is a neat little "Match Event Length" Icon in all GenMEds. Stretch the Text Event to fill the SPACE and then hit this Icon. The GenMed Event is correctly set to the space - marvellous!
