Hello there! Been searching all over for an answer to my question and I'm hoping I may find some help.
I've been playing around with Corel Video Studio Pro X2. I like the software and it does exactly what I need in a simple way. I'm mainly using it to edit captured video game footage.
I have a problem however. I've been trying to find a compression when saving that gives me the quality I want. I've found one but not without a catch.
Whenever I save it as a *.AVI part of the video comes out wrong. For the first few seconds everything is fine, but once the video reaches the point in the game where I enter combat the top half, and only the top half, of the video begins to flicker black. The bottem half is fine, perfect even. It's exactly what I want.
I've tried different settings but nothing I do seems to fix the flicker. I'm wondering if anyone knows exactly what's causing it or how I can fix it?
The compression settings I'm using are:
Microsoft AVI files
16 bits, 1920 x 1080, 30 fps
Lower Field First
Microsoft Video 1
15 Key frame rate:, 100% Quality
PCM, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
Help would be appreciated. Thank you!
