Thread: Sanyo VPC-HD100 vs. JVC GC-FM1

Default Sanyo VPC-HD100 vs. JVC GC-FM1

I need advise on investing in an camera (cheap temporary)

I have two pieces of junk in mind the Sanyo VPC-HD100 & JVC GC-FM1

They both will shoot 1080P (yay) anyone have advise with outdoor use witch ones better? I'm not using it for a close up, and it will be on a tripod. Any idea what one will be more clear? Battery life? Will either run off AC power?

Stupid question but, obviously 720P will look better on this than 1080P (smaller=better quality) but would it look better if I shot it in 1080 or 720 then rendered it up to 1080 with Vegas?

Can you explain your logic here? I would suggest that the 1080p mode would produce the better theoretical quality by recording at a greater resolution, particularly as this is your target format.

Well the 720P youtube videos full screen look better than the 1080P videos full screen on both cameras. And my target format is higher there will be clips from my other camera at 1920x1080. So The entire thing will be rendered up to 1920x1080. I've rendered small poor quality clips up and it looked good so I did not know what would be better in this case. Only thing is they shoot 30fps I think, and my 1920 shoots 24fps so I'll loose 6fps on the final render.
