Thread: No video when I play from timeline?

    Default No video when I play from timeline?

    First of all, I just want to say that I acctually have searched the forum but didnt found any answer that helped me, so I'm starting a brand new thread.

    I import a videofile (tried allot of different format so that isnt the problem) and play it in the trimmer, so far everything workes fine. Then, when I'm playing the video from the timeline, its just sound, no picture/video. Why?

    I had a similar problem using Pinnacle studio V12. For some reason it deleted the video file in the windows folder. (Black screen with Blue ?) I then tried Control Panel.Uninstall Program mes, Then click repair. (Windows Vista). This seemed to cure the problem. Not done it since. Please post back your remedy when you fix it.

    I dont fully understand what you are trying to say. First of all, I dont think I have deleted the videofiles, because they works just fine when I play them in Windows media player. And the second, I dont have a repair option on Vegas pro 9, just a uninstall option.

    Still need your help guys.

    My stock reply is that you have given Preview control over to the Trimmer "Show Monitor". Disengage it on the Trimmer Toolbar. However, and presently, I CAN Preview to Timeline Preview WITH the same Icon engaged?

    Anyway, just for the moment, disengage the "Show Video Monitor" in Trimmer.

    Looks to me like you've selected 'mute' for the video track.

    Not in the Screen Grab supplied. The Track is distinctly UN-Muted - LIVE.

    The button doesn't look like it's selected, but the track is greyed out. You can't see the 'solo' buttons though (blocked by the red triangle). My money's on the audio track's being soloed.

    Correct. There are NO track Control Buttons selected.

    No it is not. If it was muted or non responsive then it would be DARK Grey. What I am looking at is a healthy, live track in LIGHT grey.

    Yeah? You'd loose your "bet". Soloing Audio does not MUTE a/the Video Track. It WOULD Mute other Audio tracks.

    Archie, just where are you getting these ideas from? Please explain, I must be missing something?
