Thread: Uploading footage

    Default Uploading footage

So I recently bought a Panasonic AG-HMC40P camera and I can't figure out how to get the footage on my computer. I'm using a Macbook Pro with Final Cut Studio. For some reason FCP won't pick up that I have a camera connected, but iMovie can upload the footage. Does anyone know how I could get it working directly through Final Cut?

What happens when you Log and Transfer?

Nothing shows up. Is there something I need to click to get it to work? I've always had tape cameras so this is the first time I've log and transfer.

It sounds a bit like RTFM. If you look in the index under "Log and Transfer" it will tell you the steps.

Sorry to bring this back up but I still can't get it to work. The files show up on the camera itself as .cpi. Unfortunately nothing recognizes those except iMovie so far.

Also when I try to choose the folder with the files in it it comes up with an "Invalid Directory Structure" error message.
