Thread: sony vegas 9 - properties and rendering

  1. Default sony vegas 9 - properties and rendering

    G'day all,

2 questions - im in australia using sony vegas pro9.
    im working with HQ MPEG2's.

what do i do to set it up in 'File' > Properties?

    Template > Custom?
    Pal DV Widescreen 720 x 576 25.000fps??
    Field order?
    Pixel Aspect ratio?
    Pixel Format?
    Full resolution rendering quality?
    Motion Blur type?
    Deinterlaced methods?

    And rendering

What is the best way to render for archiving files that i will work on again? i want to lose as little quality as possible to compression as i can.

How do i do the final render for DVD architect 4.0 when the whole movie is complete(which setting do i choose)?

    thanks

Point at the Media on your hard drive and choose the Match Properties option. Read the Manual.

Get real! - You need to read up more of the reasons why and how we do video work and understand some fundamental concepts behind this "CRAFT" and understand just what each and everyone of those settings mean. Maybe a kind person will do that that for you? Better you read up. It is ALL search-able.

But to get started use the Match Media option.

A trade off: Size on Hard drive/DVD Data platter <> Quality.

I make an AVI of the Project then from THIS I render a further 2 files:

    A] An MPEG2 Video - non-audio file - GrazieProj.mpg

    . . and an . .

    B] An AC-3 Audio - GrazieProj.AC3

I place BOTH in the same folder and drag these into DVDA.

I set DVDA project to the format that will be SEEING the DVD. So, for UK I use PAL and for US I use NTSC.

Now, you may get a mass more of input and tweaks about rates and so on, and I'll leave that to others!

    No.

Why quote back what I know I wrote? Others do too! That is really annoying.

And how about answering my single question?
