    Hi All
    am new to this forum. I want to buy Video Editing Software. Have Home Basic Vista Laptop with Camcoder DCR-HC40E Sony with miniDV Cassetts.

    Pleaes advise me which Software should Buy. Have been editing videos on Window movie maker but I want to use more functionalities.

    Am thinking of Corel but pleaes advise me.

    I use top video converter, which is easy to use and work well for me.

    Many of the people on this forum use Sony Vegas Pro 8 or 9 for their editing work. I'm one of them, and I recommend it. It's good for the beginner, and has most all the features that a pro needs.

    I agree with walata, and i use their latest digital video editing software, and at present no problem with it,so..i think you can try it,may be let you perfect.

    also, sony vegas is good if youve got money to flaunt, but I think more suited to intermediate/pros.

    Yeah...I will also recommand this movie making software - Cyberlink PowerDirector8 to you. I've bee using this for a while and it's really easy to use. The interface is friendly for first timie users. Hop you can enjoy it.
