Thread: Vegas Pro 8.0 Render Problem

Question Vegas Pro 8.0 Render Problem

I've used vegas for about two years now and have never come about this problem until now.

I use vegas alot to make animated signatures. I edit my vid footage and render as a .mov file and the import to ImageReady.

That usually works fine, until I edited a clip from Primeval.

When I rendered the vid only the text media would render. The video footage does not show up. I can see the video when I preview, but while rendering the vid goes black.

I thought maybe it was where I downloaded the clips, so I got out my DVD's and ripped them to my comp using Magic DVD Ripper as I have done several times in the past. Still the same problem. So then I took the dvd rip and ran it through Virtual Dubb and still have the same problem.

The only thing I've been able to do with it is save the the file using a preview quality nothing else.

I also tried rendering the vid in different formats such as wmv still not working.

Anyone know what in the world could be causing this problem?

My original file is an .avi file X-Vid MPEG-4 Codec

Do you mean "Save" or "render"?

I also tried rendering the vid in different formats such as wmv still not working.

No offence intended, but you haven't "soloed" the track with the titles or "muted" the video track, have you?

i have the same problem as well and i hope someone may share some insights. i edited some video clips and rendered them. the video fx that i added to the video clips would show up but the actual video clip doesn't.

    EDIT

I also tried rendering the video in preview quality and it works but the quality just doesn't cut it. rendering it in "good" still fails.

I'm saying that after I run the vid thru Virtual Dubb and try to render it in vegas again, that it still doesn't work.

    Sorry I meant Render.

No I've checked all of that and even imported a clip on the same track and tried to render it and it works fine. It's the video that is the problem.

I also need to mention that the audio of the vid renders, but no video.

I never have found a solution, other than rendering in preview quality which just doesn't cut it for Youtube.
