    Default After effects help please!!

    Hello All,

I have been trying for hours, working in After Effects attempting to use the camera.
Please if you can solve this for me!! Why is my camera zooming in and out randomly even though there are NO keyframes where it is doing the moving???? What did I do wrong?

My end result is a camera flying or zooming from far away up to the first text, stopping on it long enough to read. Then zoom through and past it to the second text, stopping on it long enough to read. then zooming through that one. Etc... Basically a credits thing, first one would say Director, Second would say Producer.

I have my comp made with 2 text layers. I turned them into 3d layers.

I moved the first text layer to Z position of 50,000.

I moved the second text layer to Z position of 100,000 so that it is far behind the first text layer.

Then started to animate the camera with keyframes every 2 seconds.

    HERE IS MY EXAMPLE:
    http://blip.tv/file/get/William_Bart...Example380.m4v

Notice what the camera does on the first text, but the second text is PERFECT.. What did I do wrong in the first? Keep in mind there are NO key frames for those movements where it goes backwords then forwards again.

    Please help!!

Havent looked at the clip but from your description the problem is the standard boomeranging problem. You hit F9 on the keyframes you've got right to give a smooth transition between movements right? Thats the problem. It's a bevier issue. Show the keyframes of movement using the graph display and youll see the problem. You may be able the adjust the bezier handles to get around it. Alternatively you can change the keyframes to 'linear time (or whatever it;s called). There si a video tutorial on this over at the creative cow.
