Default Tips for making a ghost.

Ok im thinking of making a movie with ghost but i was just wondering what i would need to do.

I understand you would have to film in front of a green screen.. change the opticay and change the color to white.... I was wondering how i would add the like trail effect to the ghost... and what else settings would i need to use???

Assuming that you have software that supports multiple overlay layers, then you could create the trail effect by duplicating the video on subsequent layers. On each of the subsequent layers you would offset from the preceding layer by a few frames and increase the opacity. You could also offset the position of subsequent layers by a few pixels to further enhance the effect.

    Hope that makes sense.

To expand a little on what purejammy has said.

Place your camera on a tripod, film the background, then film the person over the same background.

When editing, place the copy without ghost as the bottom layer, place the version with the person (ghost) in it as the top layer and lower the opacity a bit. Tiy will then see the background through the person making them seem ghostly.

To get a ghost trail do as purejammy suggested, add the ghst version multiple times to the movie offsetting the time index slightly for each one. Also, adjust the apocaity a little more for each successive copy.

    Should look pretty cool.

Also, film at different frame rates, and act backwards, then playback forwards, all the movements seem.... wrong
