So I am working on a video editing program for a christmas present..I have converted all of my home VHS to DVDs using a Sony VHS-->DVD dubber. It worked great...I am now using Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 to edit the videos (add chapters and such). When I upload the videos to my computer, first off they are in VOB format...second they are divided into 5 different files. So I get VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc.. I can up load 2-5 no dfficulty is uploading the first one becuase it has a menu on it, then 15 mins of video..when i try to upload it, it gives me an error message of... "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed." I have downloaded many different Codec's to try and solve the problem and have had no success. I have also tried opening the file in Pinnacle as well, same problem.

My question is, is there a way I can split the menu from the first part of the video, so I can upload it? or is there some way that I can import that one file?
