Default Redering Audio in Vegas Pro 8.0 through to DVD Architect Pro 5.0

    Hi,

I am making some training DVDs and have had a little probelm with the audio after authoring the audio/video and testing it on a DVD player.

When I preview the sound in Vegas per-rendered it is great. But then I render the audio using Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro. And then add this into DVD Workshop Pro 5.0 and burn it, occassionally it sounds jumpy (like it skips half of a word). The audio is recorded speech and compliments the video. Has anybody any experience using particular settings for Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro or Dolby Digital AC-3 Studio. I think Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro is more customisable. I am just trying the bit-rate at 448 on both the Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro render and DVD Workshop Pro 5.0.

    Any help is much apprecaited.

    Kind regards, Darren

This isn't going to help you at all I realise, but I simply use the default template for AC3 and have never had a problem. I'm sure quility might be improved on occasions with a bit of tweaking (and decent amp/speakers) but I've certainly never had anything noticable like dropped sounds/words.
