Thread: Choice of camera

    Default Choice of camera

I look after the AV stuff at our bowling club and have been asked to provide a camera to feed live video of cabaret acts etc. to the widescreen projector. This is because we do not have a stage for the acts and some of the audience can't see the performers as well as they would wish.
All I seem to find when I look for cameras are various camcorders which have more functionality than I need. I am looking for a ceiling mountable, manual focus, 16:9 aspect ratio camera with AV output to feed to the projector. Budget would be about 200.
Can any one suggest a suitable device?

You are probably better off looking at security style cameras than video cameras!

I think you might have a problem getting the 16:9 ratio in that price range.
