Just started capturing the first of 50 or so DV clips from my Sony TVR-11 camcorder into Premiere Elements 1.0. So far the video seems to be capturing fine and the audio is in sync, but the audio is only coming out of one channel (I think the right one). I know the speakers are OK on this brand-new HP P4 machine, as other audio clips play out of both speakers.

I recorded the audio with a small plug-in microphone from Radio Shack -- could it have recorded all of the interviews in mono, and thus just on one channel? If so, will there be any way for me to pan or balance the audio from these clips (which will make up most of the film) in the editing process, or am I stuck with single-channel audio for the interviews? The interviews took five hours of taping and are not repeatable.

Thanks in advance,
Clark
