Default Frame blending in Vegas pro 8

Hi all another question. I am trying too slow down a vid file considerably about 500% too 100% when ever i do this in vegas using velocity envelopes or time stretching the vid goes all jerky. i have seen the same thing done in After effects using Pixel frame blending. I could learn AE but i am really learning my way around vegas now.

So can i get the same results with Vegas?

According to vegas the video is 29.970(NTSC) captured from a HD PVR in M2TS format.

Is this jerkiness present in preview only or rendered output as well? I suspect the former.

In both Tim i have been reading that is because too reduce the speed frames are removed from the video. When i slow a clip down too 33% it stays nice and smooth. When going really slow its unuseable

Right click the clip and select properties, there is an option on the box to Interpolate fields, try that.

Also you can stretch a clip grabbing the end of the clip and holding the CTRL key this will add to the speed of the velocity envelope
