Default In the days before digital...

I was doing a bit of searching around the house earlier this evening and what should I come across but a copy of Video Buyer & User from.....September 1991! It must have been the first video magazine I bought for the outrageous sum of 1.50. On the front cover it has a Ferguson F8 (video 8), a Canovision E850 Hi 8, an Hitachi VM-E15 (video 8) and a Panasonic NV-G3 (vhs-c).

Did you own any of those? And names such as Rick Maybury, David Williams, Allan Bryce and Alex Robbins kept us enthralled with their reviews of various pieces of kit and techniques. Those were happy analogue days with no codec problems or waiting for Adobe or Sony to release a patch. A few pictures included...

And not only that, your right shoulder had to be used at times, so a lot of body parts were needed to make videos 15 to 20 years ago.
