I just joined this site but couldn't find anywhere for general advice regarding the buying of a decent entry level camcorder? However, saying that, I have just purchased a second hand, very good condition and fully working Sony DCR-PC100 Digital HandyCam Camcorder. It came with the manual and mains adapter etc. I wanted to ask if this is a relatively decent entry level camcorder for me as a beginner please?
I believe that it is quite an old(ish) model as Sony UK don't even advertise it on their website anymore but Sony USA still do. I didn't want to spend a fortune on an all whistles and bells camcorder as a beginner (this one cost me £60 - is that a good price or a rip off)? Once I have learned the fundamental, then maybe I will upgrade to a more decent and modern camcorder?
I believe that you can buy filters and wide angle lenses etc. for this model camcorder from what I have been reading on the web but I thought I would join this forum and get decent and honest advice from the experts on here. Heres hoping that somebody out there can assist as I am no expert and therfore any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Mike.
OOps! Apologies as I think I put this in totally the wrong forum? Sorry.
