    Default Capture Cards

Is it possible to use a consumer capture card such as dazzle or ADS with premiere pro? In other words will it appear in the "capture device" menu?
If I had the money I would obviously get matrox RTX100 but I don't :(

Also what would be the best card to go for? (remembering about my money issue) I dont want something that captures in mpeg, just something that premiere will recognise and record in AVI in decent quality.

    Thanks

    Nick

before I started using an RT.X100 I used a Dazzle Fusion for analogue capture. Although I couldn't capture straight to Premiere I used to use the s/w that came with the kit and captured to AVI on my HDD then simply import that into Premiere. Worked fine!

Other than that you might want to read Marc's review of the Canopus ADV100 at http://www.marcpeters.co.uk/ADVC-100-Review.htm

Thanks. Looks like the easiest way would be to convert analogue to Dv. Might need to splash out!
