Default removing echo or resonance on looped tracks?

I recorded this short on a rode videomic. Most of outside stuff was looped in my apartment. Is there a way sony vegas audio features can take some of the slight echo off of the voice? Thanks

I am not sure of Vegas' options.
Perhaps some of the 'echo' might be reduced by lowering some of the highest frequencies. Perhaps careful use of a 'gate' would eliminate the 'echo' at the ends of words/phrases/sentences.
I use Cubase, but I expect that Windows Users can get similar effects with free software, such as Audacity.
