Thread: VMS renders Audio but no Video

  1. Default VMS renders Audio but no Video

    Hi folks,

As an occasional videographer/editor, I find it takes me some time to "spool up" to speed to get my projects done.

That said, there isn't much as frustrating as finishing a project and being held hostage by your own incompetence!

The video from a friend's camera imported fine into Vegas Movie Studio, but I had to convert the audio to PCM to import it. Edited without further issue.

Now when I try to render, whether using AVI, MPG, or WMV I get audio but no video.

Not being a true videophile, the fact that the properties for the original video includes the phrase: "Video Compression: XVID" means very little to me, though I hope it means something to you, faithful reader.

    Help without mockery greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    Craig

  2. Default

    A slight amendment...

I *can* render WMV using the 3mbps video template.

I'm wondering if the problem lies in that the source video is 640x480 and the templates for avi and mpg all seem to be 720x480?

    Again, any help appreciated.

    Regards,
    Craig
