Thread: SxS files to Elements 3.0

Default SxS files to Elements 3.0

A colleague has recently upgraded his XL1-s for a Sony EX3. The files are stored on SxS cards and are transfered as MPEG4 files.

My colleague uses this method with no problem at all on Final Cut Pro, but I have an issue uploading them into Elements 3.0.

I transfer the files via flashdrive/CD into the project folder. Then in the edit set up select - GET MEDIA - FILES AND FOLDERS.

The ADD MEDIA dialogue box opens, the file folder selected, and ALL SUPPORTED MEDIA is selected in the FILES OF TYPE BOX.

This then shows me the MPEG4 files I wish to import. So having selcted the relevent files, the progress bar shows them being imported into the project, only for it to ultimately fail, giving me the error message: The importer reported a generic error.

Any help in getting my media imported would be very much appriciated.
    Thanks in advance.
