    Question Encoding

I have a bunch of .avi's from capturing videos using FRAPS and now I want to upload them onto YouTube, H.264 encoded. Would this change their format to MPEG-4?

I also do not know what programs I need to do this, was thinking VirtualDub but AFAIK, V-Dub doesn't deal with H.264? And can only output .avi's?

Bit of a codec / format n00b so any helps appreciated.

Download QuickTime Alt 181 and MPEGStreamClip 1.2, they are both freeware utilities and run and install QuickTime Alt 181 first and then run and install MPEGStreamClip 1.2. Open up MPEGStreamClip 1.2 and find your files and load them into it. Under the File dropdown you will see a selection of file formats you can choose from including mpeg4.
