Default Problem with rendering: Black parts after rendering normal scenes

Hey guys, since I've used Vegas 9.0 Pro I've been experiencing a very weird problem.

It occurs if i have 2 or more successive scenes of the same clip. After the first clip of those the second one always starts out black as if there was no scene, if it shows at all (sometimes also happens the other way round, but it's most of the time that the second/third scene is disappearing).

I don't know why this happens, as I've used no effects or anything and the video displays properly if I watch it in the video preview.

Anyone has experienced this before? Anyone who could help?

    Thanks in advance.

You say you're using 9.0. The first step would be to update to 9.0a (free download from the Sony Creative Software site)

Updating to VP9a might produce rather more issues than you might think.

Official announcement 20 minutes back on SONY site about a VP9b on or maybe before the 28th August.

VP9a has some rather nasties in GenMEd, Pancrop, Track Header Graphics and other issues that are being addressed by the SCS Team - as we speak(write)!

I haven't/didn't have your/this problem with VP9, I had others. Could you post a screen grab of the section of your Timeline that is giving you grief?

Thanks Grazie. funnily enough, I've recently been having occasional glitches with GenMed and Pan/Crop (using multiple tracks with bezier masking & Multipy compositing as discussed at length in a thread while back). I'd put this down to my PC needing a bloody good cleanup, but now you mention it it has only happened since loading 9.0a)

    Thanks for the replies.

I've just noticed that I've actually been using Vegas Movie Studium all the time and didn't even realise it until I downloaded the update.
Now that I'm using the right Vegas Pro and updated it, the problems have disappeared and the rendering works fine.

I presume you mean Vegas Movie Studio Platinum.

I think I prefer your contraction of the name. Brilliant!
