    Default GPU-Accelerated Video Encoding Plug-In

Whilst Looking at the Gpu processing for my new system. I came across this write up, interesting. Once I have qualified the information and looked at this technology, this might send me down the Nvidia route as I was going for a ATI Radeon 4890. <looking into>

Pricing of Nvidia Quadro cards in the UK are around

    For
FX 5800 £2600 Highend and low end FX 1800 £380
    Plus cost of plugin.

I think on the pro side there are better solutions; if you are intent on spending thousands.

On my side since I have compared a radeon 4890, to Nvidia this is out of my Budget for now. I may consider the low end option later. Interesting as this is, I need to look at that more, what the GPU is doing in the system. Without this plugin, would GPU benefit my new system. <Still looking into>

Has anybody used this technology ?
