Default Will my setup work for video/film editing?

Hey guys, I've been a long time protools user, and since a friend is about to start pre work on an indie film project, he's asked me to help edit.

My current protools system is a Power Mac Dual 2 GHz G5 Tower.

-Can this handle video or film editing?

-HD, or am I limited to SD with that spec?

-If SD, would we be able to get a high enough resolution to submit to festivals?

-Which software package would you recommend to optimize this system?

I know I'll have to upgrade the RAM/HDD and such, but I'm basically interested if this processor will work well.

    Thanks!
    Charlie
