Thread: .TOD files not showing in explorer

Question .TOD files not showing in explorer

I have a JVC video camera that records video in .TOD. When I open the appropriate folder to use these videos, they do not show up in explorer (the explorer of vegas). I have to take the time to import them.

This is my new desktop computer. I also have vegas installed on my laptop, and am able to see the .TOD files just fine on that computer. Is there a patch or update??

Sony does NOT list .TOD files as being supported by Vegas so I've no idea what you've managed to do with your laptop.

As you don't tell us what version you're running it's a bit difficult for us to tell

I'd have thought a pretty good first step wiould be to look for differences in the versions on your daektop/laptop.

The latest update for each version of Vegas is always available for free download on the Sony Creative Software site.

What happens if you drag a TOD file from WIndows Explorer onto your timeline?

Sorry...I posted my question when I didn't have time to elaborate. I should have waited.

I am using Sony Vegas Platinum 8.0. I can use the .TOD files if I go through the trouble of importing. It just takes longer and I have to know where the file is, instead of just having it listed there on explorer.

As far as I know, running the same update/build level of Vegas.
