Thread: Vegas 9.0a - Cannot Render due to "Low memory"

  1. Arrow Vegas 9.0a - Cannot Render due to "Low memory"

Hey, I was here about a month or two back. I have more rendering problems today, and I can't see why.

When I try to render, the percentage and frame locks "Such as frame 557 on 0%" or an error message comes up saying I have "Low memory".

I've heard this is a common error now with Sony Vegas, but I've looked everywhere I can on the internet for help and there are no solutions working for me.

My project settings match my render settings.
The clips are .wmv, I'm rendering to .wmv.
Its nothing more than a one minute video.
I could render longer videos less than 2 weeks ago.
Dynamic RAM Preview = 0 (Changed from 16).
Maximum number of rendering threads = 1 (Changed from 4).

    System Specs:
    - Windows Vista
    - 3GB RAM
    - Core 2 Duo (2.0 GHz)
    - 2MB L2 cache

    Note:
I tried this on my desktop PC too, the same problem occurs.

I am using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0a Build 704.

Is it a legit copy? If so, I'd be asking Sony Support to help. That's what you pay for you know!

Well, *prepares for flame*, its not exactly legit :(

If I could afford it, I'd pay :(

    Oh. That's alright then.

With Vegas Movie Studio available for about 30 cost really is not a bar to using the product. Upgrade to pro when you can afford it.

Any assistance from anyone who has a legit copy (ie all of us here) is irrelevant as time and time again it's been proved that "dodgy" copies simply don't work.

BTW whilst you've been reading this someone has nicked your bicycle. They would have bought one if they could afford it.

Well, honestly some people just can't afford the 30 to begin with. Some need higher editing programs and don't have hundreds of dollars of cash sitting around when they cannot afford basic things like their mortgage payments, rent, food, ect. It's not the best way to get it, and some day I do plan on buying it for myself, but at the moment I (being only 19) cannot afford this program whilst going to college.

And, there are actually versions that work very well and aren't filled with bugs and such. Even though it isn't legit as you say, there may be a way to help.
