Help with Mini-DV tapes
Hey all, have a question.
I received 3 mini-dv tapes from a client and just tried to play it back in my mini-dv camera in premiere pro to start capturing the footage. At first the camera would see and show the timecode but wouldn't play the video or sound, I turned the camera off and on, switched to the second tape and it started playing the video and audio. The only thing is it is playing it in slowmotion??
I can see the timecode counting in slowmotion too, each second of the playback timecode is actually around 2 seconds in real time. I can hear the audio and see the video playing in slowmotion.
I have no idea what is wrong. It is doing this now with all 3 tapes??
The client said the footage was transfered from VHS. Could this be a problem? I tried capturing a few seconds and using the time tool in premiere to have it play at the proper speed, however it didn't work. Looks like it just spead up the video. It seems to be that the timecode of it is messed up, it can only playback footage at like 60% the regular speed.
