    Default altering speed of play

I've got video footage of let's call it - matrix shot. The footage recorder is constant pan over some object. I want to alter the speed of playing the videoclip fluently, ie. I want the pan do accelerate and deccellerate as I need to.

I was thinking I will find this in effects controls and keyframes, but cant find the setting responsible for playing speed.

    Any help appreciated.

it involves the time re-mapping function, I can't remember much about it, here's a thread from down the page abit: Gradually changing speed

although the tutorial link seems to be dead, someone can probably be a lot more helpful than this, but that might get you started at least.
