Default Editing specifc objects in videos

    Greetings everyone,

I do lots of video editing for various purposes. I was wondering if there is a software out there that would allow me to do very specific editing in a video like changing the color of sky to red or changing eyes or hair color of certain people in the video. I tried using Photoshop for this but it was really difficult to do it manually especially in long videos that have so many frames, and the output never looked good. Is there any app that can do such tasks in a neat and smart way with less effort from the user part?

Try Adobe After Effects CS3 or CS4 either one is very good at doing the type of things you are looking to do. Mind you AE has a very steep learning curve and you will need to spend quite a bit of time working with it. There are lots of online tutorials, try Video CoPilot for starters.

Wax 2.0 is a freeware special effects/chromakeying application, not as good as AE but it is freeware.

Thanks a lot... After Effects seems to be the way to go. And it does seem that i am ahead of spending a LOT of time to fully understand it. Great app though.
