Default How do i speed up footage?

    Hi all, new member.

i play my ps3 online and the game i play requires quick fast forwarded time lapses of footage inbetween the horny bits... i tried searching via goggle and this site so apologies if ive over looked it a link would be greatly appreciated.

ive found all the other cool and nifty editing options i had in mind and have cropped the sections i need fast forwarded but i just need a hand finding this rather important and expected basic feature.

*i've bookmarked the page for a reply

edit: i also need to slow down footage but i can imagine its an off-shoot option to speeding it up.

You are playing a game online and you want to know how to fast forward through the 'horny' bits. Does horny have a different meaning in Australia? If you are playing a game on your PS3 and you are online, I don't think there is a way to do that, you might find some solution on the site you are on but you can't use a video editor to do that.

i'm talking about footage i've already recorded, and as my 'movie/video' is playing i have areas where it needs to run in fast forward (with music playing over it eg) and i also need to slowed down for when i'm shooting someone eg...

i found the fast forward button next to the play, it helped me crop very well, but how do i fast forward say a 40 second cropped piece into 15-20 seconds? and my 2-3 seconds into 5-6 for a slow motion effect?

i couldn't find either of these options.

If you are using Adobe Premiere Pro then right click on the video track, and when the menu appears click on Speed/Duration. To speed it up, increase from 100% to 200% or whatever percentage you wish. To slow it down do the opposite.
