Default A walk on the beach

This video as taken in part due to my girlfriends near obsession with beachhuts (she loves takin pictues of 'em for some reason). I've a feeling this video is sterile, in desperate need of a tripod and full generally not very interesting. Very much appreciate some inspiration for something fresh for when I film again!

I quickly got bored of the huts. What would yiu have done?

    I liked it.

In some ways I liked the kind of distant feel (I wouldn't call it sterile)

The long shot of the fishing boat and those tracking shots around it were particularly nice.

Maybe some low POV shots of the people from a distance would have helped with the vibe.

And I just had the feeling there was a narrative in there somewhere trying to get out

The music is slightly unsettling, I was half expecting to see chopped up body parts in the huts and some old salty sea dog with a gammy leg, hanging around the boats spinning a yarn about some terrible ghost who appears at high tide. You make such nice videos maybe you should try your hand at horror next time?

I had a look at V2 as well. Is that the "Tiffen" plug-in? V2 didn't really float my boat after a while as the grad-coral effect wore a bit thin. Liked V1 though. Yeah, a tripod would have improves some of the shots but taking a set of legs on a family walk, and all the effort they involve, doesn't endure you to the rest of the group.

All you need now is some foreign voice-over "As a little boy I enjoyed my days on the beach until the German soldiers came." or suchlike. Bit of Satie always goes down well.

One of these days I may actually go out filming rather than take a camera with me. But then I'll have no excuses for a below par video!
