Default my first attempt at a wedding vid

Did this for a friend as her gift, she wanted more like a party fun styled vid... what do u think?

Shooting it sucked cuz i hate feeling like im looking in from the outside but editing it was a blast... thinking of maybe doing a few of these for fun

    I think you nailed it.

Lots of short chapters - kept the thing flowing.
Lots of young beautiful people enjoying themselves - you can't go wrong.
Informal camerawork - it feels like you're in there - part of the event.

I wasn't sure about the "vintage" treatment - B&W fine, but the "scratches" & old look treatment detracted in my opinion.

The "Piano Man" sequence suffered from lack of cutaways to hide the hosing, searchng for focus etc, but with something like that you've just got to keep the camera rolling and go with it. Normally I'd say that sequence was too long but it was clearly "special" so that justifies it. I'm guessing th song has a significance to that whole bunch of people.

All in all a very happy video which I'm sure the bride will cherish. Great job.

hey man thx for ur response. I agree with everything you said. I had some cutaways for the bad shots at the end but overall like u said it was a special end of the night, no way I could miss people being crazy singing that song lol.

Friends are all wanting to hire me, this wedding she hired a pro so i didnt worry about the most memorial spots. I am guessing for the next wedding, just add more str8 raw footage in between or maybe add a seperate chapter in the dvd of just the raw footage important spots? i Feel that that our youth is a little too hip for the classic basic wedding videos so I wanna intergrate that with like what I just did, myabe i should start watching wedding videos online
