Has some nice shots but overall really very dull unless you are the mook trying not to fall over or a fan of snow.

Without any narrative it was too long and quite uninteresting.

Some nice obligatory b/w, jump cuts, slo mo ect but all formualic stuff.

Two words spring to mind after watching your video, repitition and distance. It's the same scenes being played over and over again right throughout the film. It seemed like you were confined to the one place and couldn't go anywhere else. There is no variety to keep the audience engaged, you could have made a good video about skiing but I think you missed the opportunity here.

The second problem is distance, you shot most of it in long shot, that is too far away to keep an audience interested. You failed to engage the audience in this film and if it was shown at a cinema, half of them would be getting up to leave. Again, no variety of shots, where did the medium shots, close ups, Dutch Tilts, pull focus, throw focus, pans and low angle shots all disappear to? You did make an attempt at a low angle tracking shot on the skis but it was all over the place at the end.

In your next movie you need to change these things big time so you can at least keep your audience interested from start to finish. And I really don't like those black bars at the top and bottom, the screen is small enough without having those added.

    Thanks Guys

I will try to do it better next time
Just, I'm only 14 ^^ so I can't afford a Pro Camera or such special equipment you need to produce really good films.

But thanks for the tips !

All you need to amke a great film is a 50 quid used dv camera off ebay - the rest is down to you.

Equipment never does anything creative without a person making it all go.

I recently watched a feature film that was shot on DV, and it sounded like on cam mike and it used natural light thoroughout.

That didnt stop it getting a dvd release a fw awards.

Most people who get into editing and film making forget that story telling is at the heart of any film and mistake impressive for good.

Glad to see you can take advice on the chin unlike some people who are 3 and 4 times older than you and throw a hissy fit when I tell them their shots are wobbly.
