Default Scarlet's Witch < No Budget Short

Hey guys, my name is Freddy and wanted to introduce myself. I live in Florida and make no budget films just like most of you here. My main site is here if you'd like to see most of my work.

And i thought by releasing a film on this thread you could see some of the works i've recently made. I'll release more next week. Any questions on the productions, feel free to ask away.

This one is titled SCARLET'S WITCH.

    16MIN SHORT FILM
    NO BUDGET.

    Hope you enjoy!
    - Fred

    Excellent.

A superb result. Well thought out story, excellent camerawork, well edited, super sound... All in all a very, very acomplished production. The actors were very good, as was the narration. The "modern fairy tale" came across well and the story unfolded at a nice pace. At first, I must admit, that I found it a bit slow but within a few minutes I realised that my initial impression was wrong and it was worth perservering. In the end the tempo turned out to be just right.

I'm not normally a fan of colour tweaking but the filters were spot on for the moods of the various scenes and characters. I was particularly impressed with the "moonlight" scene.

I dare say that I could find a few niggles if I wanted to be finicky but the video impressed me so much that I think I'll stop here...

    Respect...

    (Just clean your bloody lens!)

Yea sure dude.... Like I say, you should go far.

I get the pip with first time posters posting movies and then never coming back - you aint the usual suspect by a mile, and at least your film shows huge effort. ( i lied I did watch it ).

I look forward to your continuing 'releases' and feedback to other forum members...

Post any films you want feedback on.

haha self publicist? - right. Because i have an IMdb, and people have TRIED to make a wiki. (which didn't work) Which i actually went against. I really rather not have one but a lot of people who like my films want to make one. But thanks for watching.

Raises eyebrows - and also cos you have a presence on nearly every media casting site n the web maybe...

Jeepers there aint nothing wrong with self publicity but it is also fun to mock those who are much more effective at it than me.

I prefer to sulk in the dark corners of the blogosphere mumbling ' misunderstood genius ' over and over as I curse anyone more succesfull than me - lols.

    Anyway - enough aimless drivel.

Very well made film - it's the script wot did it for me - carried by actors - catpured by you on camera and perhaps slightly over garnished in the edit.

It dissapoints me that most of us try to look and be like hollywood.

In your film - I am curious - some shallow dof in places, shallower than i would expect with an xl - is some of it done in post ?
