    Got me a new PC and want to set it up for Video editing. I'm not about to void the warranty by cracking open the base unit soooo, how bout using an eSATA drive for my fooage ? anyone doing this ?

    Also any links to setting up my PC for video editing ?

    eSATA is basically the same as sata, if you get a eSATA bracket its just a lead that plugs into a free sata port.

    I don't see any problems with using eSATA other than a way of powering the hard drive.

    What type pf video do you intend to use, standard definition or high definition?

    What Format?

    You can of course have multiple hard drives plugged in via esata and put them into a raid if needed.

    it is basically sata but a little lead going from an internal sata port to a plug on the back or front of your pc
