Thread: Looking up past posts

  1. Default Looking up past posts

I've learnt some pretty good stuff through the forum but can't seem to find anyway of looking back over my own threads that I've started. I'm assuming this must be an option; can anyone help?

    A couple of approaches....

You can click on "Thread Tools" immediately above the first entry in a thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread". You will be emailed with a link every time a post is added to the thread (assuming you've set this up (it's the default behaviour) in you control panel)

You can click on your name at the top of a post and select "Find all posts by ..." which will list all your posts.

Yeah I know, I also get email alerts when people add to posts, just wondered if there was a 'All my posts / threads' button I was missing somewhere. Might try searcing my name I guess in search box if that is what you meant Mark?

EDIT: Just tried that Mark and it did work - cheers!

Just tried that search myself to see what my first post was, had been planning on doing it for a while and when I saw this I thought I'll give it a try. Going back to the 21/08/2005 it was about Mini DV Decks, we don't hear too much about them now. I think the format suffered because of the lack of a cheap consumer deck not costing £1200. Yes, I know about getting a cheap second mini dv camcorder to play back on but the camcorders were never designed for all that rewinding and fast forwarding. Still back in 2005 we could dream about what might have happened and then camcorders with memory cards came along, I wonder what the main talking points will be in another four years time?
