Unhappy wanted very cheap used broardcast camera

I'm just starting out with little funds to make short films/ clips. I'm in outback Australia and it's hard to get advice on stuff. Many cameras on ebay but I don't know anything about them. Can someone help out there?

We know how to activate a quick reply -

Being that you are in the outback of Austrailia, im not sure you will get anyone from that area on this forum. You might be better putting your question onto a google.au or yahoo.au answers forum...

' Broadcast camera ' - what do you mean exactly ? The term has no accurate meaning really.

Do mean professional ? Or maybe can produce stuff broadcasters will accept ?

How much do you want to spend ?

There is no answer to that.

If it is a shot of a plane load of mexicans with the flu crashing on an orphange it could be shot on a phone and be braodcast.

TV drama is shot on cameras that may cost 50,000.

    Content is king.

Can you be more specific ?

Hmmm - ok but not a true professional camera by any means.

If the person who sold it to you even hinted it was ' professional' ask for your money back as they were lieing to sell it.

If it was new it should have been hugely discounted as it is an old model.

The tape has no effect on the picture quality.
