Thread: first music video

    Default first music video

Hi, I'm new to all this - just wanted to get some feedback on this music vid I made for a friend's band.

I did the shoot in 3 hours and edited it in 2 days using Prem Pro 2. It was shot with consumer cameras - a Canon NVGS400 and I can't remember what the other one was.

It's not meant to be a high end production, so keep that in mind with your feedback - don't go too hard on my first video!

One of the other things I'm interested in knowing is: do you think that this level of production would be desired by bands wanting a music vid? (Obviously for bands at the budget end of the spectrum)

I like it. Nice job all round. Nothing to really criticise other than maybe a few too many shots of the vocalist being hit with water bombs. But I'm being really picky with that one. Just a personal thing.

    Overall? Lovely.

Looked really good. Most importantly it seemed to fit with the sound of the band. A bit of a problem with too much contrast in some shots (direct sunlight) and I'd agree with Andy about too many water bomb shots. Nice mix of dolly & static cameras too.
