I've noticed Premier Elements 7.0 applies fade in and fade out by default, when importing video media. How do I change the default to keep this from happening? I'm importing avi video. By itself, the clip is un-faded. On import, when dragged into the movie, the video and audio are automatically fading in and out - no good.

I have discovered that by accessing the clip's properties, the audio section shows fade in and fade out. It appears as though you can edit this, but the reality is that the underlying content does not return when fade out is reset using the audio level controls.

I don't see in the configuration settings where to edit this default behavior, or at least don't understand enough to relate anything I see in those menus to this fade in /fade/out default.
